A triple anniversary of local wildlife was held last night overlooking what was originally called Empingham Reservoir.
The Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust marks 70 years of being founded, along with the 50th anniversary of Rutland Water and 30 years of the Rutland Osprey Project. The event at the Barnsdale Hotel featured talks about the achievements of the Nature Reserve, a dinner and a fundraising raffle for the trust, which has over 20,000 members across the two counties.
