Rutland Police have arrested two people in Oakham who were wanted for failing to attend
court hearings after visiting a house in the town they believe was being exploited in relation to drugs. To protect the occupants, they helped get locks changed and brought in other agencies for support. They believe the person who lives in the house was the victim of cuckooing, where offenders take over a property through force, deceit or coercion. The two people arrested both had active warrants and police have remanded them in custody to attend court.
