Two Rutland villages are holding garage sales today. Several houses at Glen Crescent in Essendine are taking part.
The Empingham Sale Trail includes a map as sales have spread around the village. Both events start at 11:00am and continue through the afternoon. Keith Townsend from Empingham Together says their event is also raising money for a local charity.
‘People will be running their own garage sales at the bottom of their drive or by their garage or whatever. There will also be some tables in Willoughby Drive and Crocket Lane and all the funds that we raise, from hiring out the tables and putting people on the map at £5 a shot, will go to the Stamford and Oakham food banks’.
