A service unique to Stamford, Bourne and the Deepings that supports carers with respite is looking for more volunteers
and hopes to raise awareness to those who need its service too. Carers Sitter Service operates from Wake House in Bourne and has been going for 32 years. At the moment it is lottery funded. Co-ordinator Paula Harding explains what they do.
‘We introduce a volunteer, ideally the same volunteer, for each visit and the idea is respite for a couple of hours every two or three weeks’.
