Women’s Football
Stamford AFC could not make it three wins in a row in all competitions as they lost to visitors Mansfield Town 3-0 in the East Midlands Women’s Regional Football League Premier Division who at the same time made it a league double.
Top of the table Oakham United completed a Leicestershire Women’s League Division 1 double over East Goscote United in emphatic style, 8-2 with seven goals coming in the second half. This making it six league wins on the bounce for them. Zina Cheikh and Emma Couzens both scoring four goals.
