Leicester City were beaten 2-1 at leaders Coventry City after being ahead at half-time through Jordan James.
Peterborough United lost 1-0 to Plymouth Argyle and at the same time had Peter Kioso sent off on 89 minutes for a second bookable offence.
Jack Duffy announced his return scoring on 47 minutes as his goal saw the Daniels win 1-0, the first time since early December at play-off hopefuls Worcester City.
To the Peterborough and District League and all home games for our local sides in the Premier Division were drawn. Uppingham Town was 0-0 with Whittlesey Athletic Reserves and Stamford Bells 1-1 against Oakham United. Kyul Thurley with the Oakham United goal.
Deeping Rangers Reserves drew 2-2 with 2nd placed Crowland Town.
Division One saw leaders Daniel Reserves beat visitors Park Farm Pumas 8-1 to make four wins in a row. Jake Walton the manager with a hat-trick, double for Adam Steels and one each for Joey Buckingham, Gareth Cliffe and Hayden Theodore.
Stamford Lions extended their unbeaten league run to four after drawing 1-1 at home to Oundle Town. Frank Sarfo with their goal and Jamie Murtagh also saving a penalty for them.
Bourne Town lost to Shepshed Dynamo 1-0 in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division.
A disappointing afternoon in the United Counties Premier Division North as Blackstones suffered their heaviest home defeat of the season, 5-0 to Clay Cross Town, whilst Deeping Rangers went down 1-0 at Kimberley Miners Welfare.
Women’s Football
A mixed afternoon of Cup action, which saw Stamford AFC lose 2-1 at Tier 4 side Lincoln United in the quarter-final of the Lincolnshire County Cup. Deeping Rangers meanwhile won 4-0 at Sleaford Town Rangers in the 1st Round of the Lincolnshire County Plate. Yas Green scoring two.
To the Leicestershire & Rutland County Cup 3rd round and Oakham United despite a Zina Cheikh double went down 4-2 at Birstall United.

The Investec Champions Cup Pool 3 saw Leicester Tigers lose in South Africa at Cape Town Stormers 39-26. This was after leading 14-12 during the first half and leaves their Champions Cup hopes in the balance.

Stamford extended their unbeaten run to three in Regional 2 Midlands East with a 26-20 bonus point victory at home in the local derby against Peterborough who they had drawn 17 all back in October.
Counties 1 Midlands East (North) and Bourne won the all-Lincolnshire fixture at Lincoln 16-12.
To Counties 3 Midlands East Division (South North) and Oakham made it back-to-back wins as well completing a league double over bottom side Aylestone Athletic by 38 points to 25. There were tries for Henry and James Bird, Angus Boyle, Oliver Crellin, Nathan Gardener and Sam Weatherall with Lewis Crellin adding four conversions.
Stamford College Old Boys returned to winning ways with a convincing 34-3 win over visitors Vipers 2nds. Captain Sam Duncan with two tries supported by Dan Bancroft, Callum Fraser and Ben Morgan with a try each. Liam Greenslade in addition to two conversions also scoring a try.
Northampton Saints in the Investec Champions Cup Pool 4 beat bottom side Scarlets at home by 43 points to 28 to secure second spot.
In Pool 3 with La Rochelle losing to Harlequins, Leicester Tigers are also through to the last 16.
Women’s Rugby
Stamford Women 1sts completed a league double at Ipswich, 46-5 in the Women's NC 1 East league. Captain Gemma Alcoran with three ties and two each for Liberty Ashdown and Jorja Matchwick and one for Gabby Clarke. Daisy Attley with three conversions completing the scoring.
