Work starts today on the new Stamford Day Treatment Centre.
Work will mainly happen in the evenings from 7:00 PM, but Lakeside say it will impact their parking during the afternoons. This week the Northwest Anglia Foundation Trust plan to have people on site to manage disruption and the new building, which is being built on the former nurses accommodation block, is due to open next year. Most of the actual building work will happen off site. It will arrive at the hospital site on Ryhall Road from tonight in a modular form and be lifted in by crane during the evening. Builders, the Darwin Group, say this will help keep disruption to a minimum for patients, visitors and the local community.
