More Information (Rutland and Stamford Sound is not responsible for external websites)

This Easter’s ‘Come & Sing’ at All Saints', Stamford is for a performance of the choral classic by Sir John Stainer, ‘The Crucifixion’, which is a dramatic musical retelling of the biblical story of Jesus’ passion and crucifixion over the days leading up to the first ever Easter Day.

Any and all interested local singers are invited to come and join with the choir of All Saints’ to perform this piece. We can provide the musical scores for the singers, plus refreshments, so all they need to bring is themselves and their voices! Rehearsals start at 2:30pm - singers are welcome to come along then, or to email dom@stamfordallsaints.org.uk to register in advance. Even if it’s been a while since people have last sung, or if they’re a musician who’s normally used to a different style of music-making, why not come and give this event a go? (For this piece, a basic understanding of how to read music is recommended.)

For those who love music, but prefer listening to performing, the public performance at 5:30pm is free for all to attend and promises to be a wonderful occasion.
