Coinciding with Uppingham Feast Day, three gardens will open around the town, for the National Garden Scheme.

New Garden – 51-53 High Street East A hidden contemporary garden in the heart of
Uppingham. Striking corten steel raised beds, a tranquil rill water feature, and repeatflowering planting create structure and seasonal colour. Highlights include Geums, David
Austin roses, and rare species like Euphorbia mellifera and Verbena macdougalii. A topiary
caterpillar hedge adds a touch of fun to this modern, secluded retreat.
New Garden – 1 Pig Lane, This garden has evolved over a two year period and consists of
several raised borders contained by sleepers. There are also raised vegetable beds and fruit
trees. The planting is mainly herbaceous with varied perennials, young ornamental trees and
annuals. These areas are served by wide gravelled walkways. There is a greenhouse used for
raising seeds and growing on young plants.
Hillside, 7 Stockerston Road, is a one acre garden with terraces, patio and new rose
planting, woodland walk and spring fed pond.
Combined Admission £7 (children free) and can be pre-booked online. Cash & card
payments are also possible on the day.
Home-made teas in Church Hall (next to Market Square). Refreshments in aid of
Uppingham W.I.
All money raised will go to nursing and healthcare charities.
Visit these exciting gardens, enjoy great cake and raise money for charity!
