£15,000 has so far been raised for Voluntary Action Rutland's Community Transport appeal in just over a week after one of their wheelchair accessible mini buses was stolen and stripped of its engine, and the other damaged but repairable.
The fundraiser was launched to bridge the gap between the insurance payout and the cost of replacement. The vehicles are used by many community groups and schools as well as for hospital visits.
