The Living Heritage Game and Country Fair is to take place at Burghley Park this Bank Holiday weekend, marking the first event to be held there this year.
The Burghley Game and Country Fair has become a firm favourite among Rutland and Stamford locals in recent years. It offers a range of crafts, food, country sports demonstrations and arena events, all set in the beautiful grounds of the Burghley estate.
This year, of course, things will be slightly different due to the Covid restrictions that remain in place but there will still be lots of the attractions that have made this show so popular. The fair marks the first event to held in Burghley Park this year.
Jousting and the Steel City Display Team Dogs can be seen at the arena events while Clay Shooting and Archery are among the country sports available to try out. There will be plenty of street food to tempt the taste buds and also a cookery theatre to entertain while you eat. Craft stalls, as well, will be on hand to provide various demonstrations and, of course, to sell their wares.
Due to restrictions in place the organisers have decided to extend the fair this year to three days, from Saturday 29th May to Monday 31st May. Tickets can be booked at http://www.livingheritagecountryshows.co.uk/ or on 01283 820548
