Cross party support to quiz government on Local Government Reform decision

The leader of Rutland County Council's Conservative opposition got cross-party support last night for her motions to ask the council to quiz the government on why they decided to join Rutland with all the Leicestershire districts in local government reorganisation and to seek a written assurance of Rutland ceremonial county status.

In a meeting so well attended by around a hundred locals, fire regulations at the council chamber meant some were left outside in the courtyard at Catmos House and unable to listen to the debate, which is being uploaded to the Council's YouTube channel today.
