Around 50 soldiers from Cottesmore are on the home straight of a charity walk to raise money to help those serving or former members of their regiment in times of hardship.
Members of the 2nd Royal Anglian started their walk in Northampton yesterday morning and continued through the night with a total distance of 48 miles to honour the 48th (Northamptonshire) Regiment of Foot, a former name of the 2nd Royal Anglians in the county. Each soldier is also carrying 48 pounds of kit. That's 22 kilograms. They're expected back in at Kendrew Barracks late this afternoon.
