Ketton railway bridge repairs

A fortnight on from the bridge bash near Ketton Network Rail are ready to lift in a new deck at Foster's Bridge tonight.

This will follow a day of slow moving freight trains on their way to Felixstowe. Some are again going the wrong way over the single line currently open as they did last Saturday, and will lead to the crossing gates being down for around 10 minutes at a time at Oakham and other crossings in the area. Bosses will continue to replace trains until next Wednesday morning, and then next Friday night the road should finally reopen.
