A worship leader who took part at the open air service in Stamford on Friday
says it's important the horrors of the Holocaust are learned by the next generation. There is an art exhibition by local students in Stamford Town Hall all this week on the theme of Bridging Generations. Graham Berkman from the Peterborough Liberal Jewish community, hopes lessons are finally learned.
‘Sadly the atrocity has been repeated in so many other places as well, and on today's solemn occasion we need to remember all the various genocides that have taken place. It seems that nobody is learning from history. All we can do is try and make sure that the youngsters of today, the students in the various schools and colleges, know about what went on in the Holocaust and hopefully they will learn’.
