An open air service is taking place this morning at St. Michael's Churchyard in Stamford
to mark Holocaust Memorial Day, the annual event organised by Stamford Town Council, features members at the town's church community and the Peterborough Liberal Jewish community. The town's Poet Laureate also usually contributes and school children also attend. The theme for this year's campaign is Bridging Generations, highlighting the crucial role of the next generation in preserving the memory of the Holocaust. An art exhibition based on this theme is being held at Stamford Town Hall throughout next week, featuring submissions from schools and colleges in and around the town.
