Residents in the Rutland village of Market Overton are being asked to view and comment on the Village Neighbourhood Plan which is now open for consultation. The Plan covers a wide range of development areas for the village.
People in Market Overton are being urged to have their say on the Neighbourhood Plan which has been formally submitted to Rutland County Council. It sets out how the village should be developed, as far as 2036, and has been prepared by the village steering group and the local community.
The Plan covers design, housing, the environment, the local economy and community facilities. It is available to view online here: Market Overton Neighbourhood Plan | Rutland County Council, in person at RCC offices in Oakham. It is also available to view at the Market Overton village hall on Wednesdays and Thursdays, Friday mornings and Monday and Tuesday evenings.
The consultation runs until the 15th September when it will pass to an independent examiner who will decide whether the plan should be voted on in a referendum.
This is in addition to the county-wide Local Plan which is still in its early stages of development.
