The keys of the brand new Day Treatment Unit at Stamford and Rutland Hospital have been handed over and the first patients are due later this month.
Lead contractor Darwin Group passed the building to the trust in a ceremony with invited guests including hospital staff, executives from the Northwest Anglia Trust, governors and MP Alicia Kearns. The building replaces the Greenwood Day Treatment Unit, which will continue to operate for the next few weeks. The new facilities cost £21 million which it's hoped will bring day surgeries to more people.
