New sports partnership for Oakham

Source: Oakham School websdite

A new sports partnership was launched last night to Oakham School Cricket Pavilion,

bringing together sports clubs and providers from across the town and beyond. It is hoped the Oakham Sport Partnership will share expertise and make sport more accessible to young people. Doctor Iain Simpson is head of sports partnerships at Oakham School and has led the initiative.

‘On the back of lots and lots of conversations that have been taking place over the last six months with everybody who's a provider and a organiser of sport in the town of Oakham. Whether that be primary schools, secondary schools, for all the really good clubs that exist in Oakham. So lots of really good conversations with everybody involved in those. Everybody really positive, really optimistic and really keen to actually push things forward’.
