A man from Belton in Rutland is halfway through his fundraiser for the Leicester Royal Infirmary Chemo Suite through Cancer Research UK.
Frank McEwan's 'Papa's 100 Bike Rides Part 2' sees him cycling 100 laps of Rutland Water on his E bike in between his own cancer treatment. Frank did a similar challenge three years ago in lockdown and is looking for people to sponsor him and ride with him if they'd like to. He starts from Manton each time he rides.
‘I don't intend to take 100 days to do it. My intention is to try and do two in the morning and then one in the afternoon/evening to get through, but it certainly wouldn’t take me 100 days. Well, it's far too boring. If anybody fancies joining in, you don't need to go all the way round. As a matter of fact, go halfway round which is easier, turn around and go back again. That's a run. We start off from the Horse and Jockey. Sensible place. That will be the same each time’. Click on link to donate https://www.gofundme.com/f/papas-100-bike-ride-part-2
