The year of rural outreach in Rutland is coming to an end today. Citizens Advice Rutland has been working with the Rural Community Council to fund Rural Coffee Connect where a coffee van visits mainly hard to reach parts of the county.
Today the final visit under the scheme is in Oakham. However, the coffee van will still be visiting Rutland as they begin a three-year programme soon funded by the NHS called Changing Connections, which started during the pandemic and is shared with visits to the Melton area. Tracey Pollard from the Rural Community Council says they've had a great year.
‘Absolutely, it's been a fantastic year. We've been to so many amazing locations around Rutland. Our last visit is at Lidl. We're in the car park in Oakham so come along and see us there if anybody needs some support’.
