Rutland is top performing county for A Levels

Rutland is the top performing county in the country for A level achievements, according to analysis from an online tutoring platform.

Tutor Space used data from last year's results in our county came out at number one with 39.7% of great being A and above last year. Some of the subjects in which Rutland A Level students perform better than the rest of the country include art and design at 63.2% compared to 32% nationally, and biology at 41.2% compared to 27.1% nationally. Surrey came overall second. Cambridge is 7th and Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire achieve 21% for grades A and above. Students from across Rutland and Stamford are going into schools and colleges today to celebrate their achievements and to get advice on their next step and we're hearing from some of them as well as their teachers.
