Following a successful fundraiser last year at Leighfield, Uppingham C of E and St Mary & St John's at North Luffenham are joining a litter pick during the first week of June. Organisers are looking for company sponsorship as well as sponsorship from family and friends.
Children from all three schools are taking part around the time of World Environment Day during the first week of June. With funding being cut for the Rutland Osprey Project and especially the ambassador programme and education team, they decided to raise funds for that, as well as their schools. Rob Persani went to Leighfield Primary School to hear more about it.
