Now in its 9th year, the Stamford Garden and Food Fair is all set for Sunday 9th May at Stamford Welland Academy.
The Stamford Garden and Food Fair, organised by the Rotary Club of Stamford St Martins, has been a regular attraction to both local residents and visitors for nine years now. Due to the national lockdown, last year’s event was sadly cancelled, however it is now full steam ahead with only a few days to go until this year’s fair. Organisers stress that while accessibility to the fair for the wider community is a priority, it is also important as it reaches out to the local stallholders who only do events like this. For this year it is being held at Stamford Welland Academy, as events are not being held on the Meadows yet.
The fair currently has over 30 stalls attending, covering garden wares, food, crafts and rides. It is free to enter and will take place on Sunday 9th May between 10am and 4pm. For more information see the Stamford Garden and Food Fair Facebook page.
We're holding a drop-in session for local people who are interested in learning more about volunteering opportunities with the community radio station serving Rutland, Stamford and the surrounding area. The drop-in event is being held in the theatre lounge at Stamford Corn Exchange from 5pm to 8pm on Wednesday 24 April.
The two campaign groups against the proposed development on the north side of Stamford are joining forces for what they say is one final push for people to comment. Neither Stamford North nor Quarry Farm have been approved for planning yet. The South Kesteven District Local Plan is also out for consultation following some revisions.
