Survey aimed at over 50s to help South Kesteven District Council to shape future services

Source: South Kesteven District Council SKDC Facebook page

People over 50 in South Kesteven are being asked for their views to help shape the future of services and support in the district.

The District Council’s age friendly communities survey asks residents about housing, access to services, leisure provision and how age friendly Stamford, Bourne, The Deepings and Grantham feels overall. The results will then be fed into an action plan which SKDC says it will help officers target support effectively. The council was accepted into the UK Network of Age Friendly Communities in April last year. Since then it has been working alongside Lincolnshire’s other District Councils and the Lincolnshire Health and Well-being Board to develop a co-ordinated county wide response to the opportunities and challenges presented by an ageing population - sharing, learning and best practice. The surveys are available online for just over a month and paper copies are available too from SKDC buildings including Stamford and Grantham art centres, libraries and leisure centres.
