As darkness is drawing in earlier, break-ins and thefts from work vans are on the rise in the area.
Stamford has seen a spike in break-ins to work vans this week and police are stepping up patrols and checking CCTV in the area.
In some cases, high value tools were stolen, others have seen vehicle damage but nothing taken. In the seven separate reports officers have received, break-ins have been identified at Highlands Way, Norfolk Square, Perth Road, Sutherland Way, Edinburgh Road, Garden Close and East Street.
