Walk of Witness is taking place across Rutland and Stamford today.
In Oakham the procession begins at St. Johns and St. Anne’s at Westgate at 10:30am for an open air service at the Buttercross at 11:00am. In Stamford the service begins the event by Churches Together at midday followed by the procession around the market. There is also a walk in Ryhall from 10:30am from the Methodist Church to St. Johns and a cross is being carried along the Viking Way from Exton Village Green from 1:30pm through to St. Mary's Church in Greetham and then finishing with drinks in the Plough.
