Football
Leicester City lost at Everton 4-0, which included the fourth fastest goal in Premier League history from Doucoure in just 10.18 seconds which sees the Foxes back in the relegation zone.
The Daniels ended a run of two away defeats with a 1-0 win at Bromsgrove Sporting whilst securing the double against them. Only goal of the game coming from Lee Shaw on four minutes to make it back-back wins.
In the Premier Division of the Peterborough and District League, top of the table Uppingham Town returned to winning ways beating Moulton Harrox 3-2 to extend their unbeaten league run to 15. Sam Blackwell with two goals and Ollie Bardwell the other.  
Oakham United won 4-2 win away at next to bottom Chatteris Town which moves them up to 11th. Kyle Thurley brace and one each for James North and Sam Welford.
Deeping Rangers Reserves beat 3rd placed Whittlesey Athletic Reserves 2-0 at home.
Stamford Bels fixture in Division 1 was not played as their opponents Yaxley Reserves did not arrive for the game.
Drama at Atherton Laburnum Rovers in the 5th round of the FA Vase as Bourne Town made it through to the quarter finals. Bourne Town led at half-time 2-0 with goals from Zacorie Allen and Paul Malone. The hosts pulled it back to 2-2 so to penalties and 5-4 to Bourne Town. 
United Counties Premier Division North saw Deeping Rangers lose 5-0 at Eastwood who returned to the top on goal difference over Bourne Town.  
Blackstones in Division 1 are up to 4th with a 2-0 home win over Clipstone. Cam Harris and a Eddie Thorpe penalty to make it four wins on the bounce.   
Cottesmore lost 5-2 away at Highfield Rangers after pulling it back to 3-2 in the Everards Brewery Premier Division thanks to goals from Josh Clark and Aarron Ridout.

Rugby
Leicester Tigers beat Northampton Saints by 54 points to 33 at Welford Road in Pool B of the Premiership Rugby Cup. The Tigers scoring eight tries including a brace for both Will Wand and Hanro Lie ben berg to the Saints five which included a hat-trick for scrum half Tom James.
The result sees Saints drop to 2nd with Tigers remaining 3rd in Pool B. 
In Counties 1, league leaders Stamford continued their winning ways at 3rd placed Towcestrians 30-26 for a season double, whilst extending their lead at the top to 18 points over 2nd placed Vipers who they travel to on 15 February.   
Bourne could not make it two wins on the bounce going down narrowly 7-3 away to Stewarts and Lloyds who secured their first win in five games.
Oakham in Counties 2 could not make it three wins in a row at home as they lost 36-10 to a strong St Neots side. The Oakham tries coming from Tom Beach and Henry Bird.
To Counties 3 and Stamford College Old Boys put in a spirited display at home against unbeaten league leaders Leighton Buzzard but went down 61-12. The visitors were 21-0 up in 30mins. Captain Sam Duncan pulling it back to 21-5 before Leighton Buzzard extended this to make it 35-5 at half-time.
The lead was increased to 47-5 before a James Twose try and Carl Brierley-Lewis conversion made it 47-12 just after the hour. Two further tries and conversions in the closing stages completed the scoring.     
Deepings remain bottom of the league after losing 11-3 away to next to bottom South Leicester.

 

Peterborough United could not build on their midweek win losing 3-1 away in a crucial game against fellow League 1 strugglers Bristol Rovers who now go above them. Ricky Jade Jones with the consolation goal on 91 minutes. 
Women’s football
Stamford AFC produced a great defensive effort and on balance had the better of the game away at 3rd placed Mansfield Town Ladies in the East Midlands Premier Division to earn them a valuable point in a goalless draw.
Oakham United unbeaten winning run moves to ten games in all competitions with a 6-1 win over Marlborough Rovers Ladies on their return to league action. Zina Cheikh and Gemma Davies with two each, Emma Cousins and Beth Munton with the other goals. The result moves them up to 4th. in the Leicestershire Women’s League Division 1.
Disappointment for Ketton Sports as they lost 4-0 at home to Wimblington Ladies in their first Cambridgeshire Women’s League Division 1 game of the year.
Ketton Sports were having the better of the first half with shots from Beth Logan, Amy Newell and Emma Ward but not able to get the opening goal. That came in the last thirty seconds of injury time with the visitors scoring from their first attack.
Wimblington added a second on 53 minutes with further goals on 63 and 66 minutes. Despite this, Ketton Sports continued to play with spirit until the final whistle.
