Football:

Leicester City signed off from the Premiership but could not extend their unbeaten run to four losing 2-0 at AFC Bournemouth after being 0-0 at half-time.

Rugby: 

Disappointing afternoon for Northampton Saints who went down 28-20 to Bordeaux Bègles in the final of the Investec Champions Cup at Cardiff.

Cricket: 

Rutland League:

A run feast, which saw Burghley Park 1sts lose by five wickets at Newborough 1sts in Division 1. Despite making 328-2 thanks to a 2nd wicket partnership of 266 between Keyan Gace 214 not out, which included 17 sixes and Ben Silver 61, the hosts won with ten balls to spare.

Oakham 1sts beat 3rd placed City 1sts at home by 19 runs to go top of Division 1. This was after they had posted 251-9, which included 131 from Steve Flowers, who completed a good all-round performance taking four catches.

Uppingham Town 100% record has gone in Division 2 as they lost at home by seven wickets to Werrington 2nds, who dismissed them for 167. Uppingham Town still remain top.

Uffington 1sts pulled off an excellent win by six wickets at 2nd placed Wellingborough Indians 1sts after dismissing the hosts for 126.

It was not a good day at the office in Division 3 for Ketton Sports 1sts who were bowled out for 82 at United Sports 1sts to give them a seven-wicket win.

Meanwhile, Stamford Town 1sts got back to winning ways in their local derby as they beat Bourne 1sts by 84 runs after making 214-9.

In Division 4 West, Uffington 2nds lost by 93 runs to Benefield 1sts after being bowled out for 88.

Division 4 East, Market Overton 1sts lost at Royal Strikers 1sts by 153 runs after being bowled out for 100.

Women’s Cricket:

Market Overton 1sts beat top of the table Denby 1sts, who were unbeaten by ten wickets after they were dismissed for just 37 in the East Midlands Women’s Cricket League Division 1.

Leicestershire & Rutland League:

Oakham Town 1sts lost in the Premier Division to leaders Rothley Park 1sts who won by seven wickets.

Uppingham Town 1sts in Division 1 beat Sileby Town 2nds by one wicket chasing down 206.

Oakham Town 2nds made it back-to-back wins beating Syston Town 2nds away in Division 4 East by five wickets.

In Division 5 East, Uppingham Town 2nds picked up their first win of the season with a seven-wicket victory at Wigston Town 1sts with Jack James taking 7-15.

Market Overton 1sts made it a hat-trick of wins in Division 7 East away at Ashby Carington 1sts by 25 runs.

Division 9 East:

Oakham 3rd X1 remain 3rd after a win by 106 runs against Barkby United 3rd XI.

Market Overton 2nds were beaten at home by Electricity Sports 4th XI by 154 runs.

Uppingham Town 3rd X1 have picked up their first win beating Houghton & Thurnby 4th XI by 99 runs.

Wakerley & Barrowden 1sts returned to winning ways with a two-run victory over visitors Rothley Park 4th XI.

Lincolnshire Cricket Board Premier League:

Burghley Park 1sts made it three wins in a row after a 20-run victory at home to Woodhall Spa 1sts.

South Lincs & Border League:

Ketton Sports 1sts could not make it back-to-back wins losing at Grantham 2nds in the Championship by one wicket.

Burghley Park 2nds in Division 1 lost by 62 runs at Billingborough 1sts.

In the Dave Morris Trophy Group A, Ketton Sports 2nds had a comfortable nine wicket win after Uffington 1sts were all out for 79.

Cambridgeshire & Huntingdonshire League Division 2:

Stamford Town 1sts drop to 2nd in the league after they lost by 92 runs at home to Newmarket 1sts.

Huntingdonshire League Division 2

Stamford Town 2nds lost at Nassington by 69 runs.
