The Daniels have gone out of the FA Trophy losing 3-1 at Real Bedford in the Third Round Qualifying after Fletcher Toll had equalised to make it 1-1.
In the Premier Division of the Peterborough and District League, Stamford Bells lost 1-0 away at Ramsey Town with Deeping Rangers Reserves also losing, 2 -1 at Warboys Town.
To Division 1, and a big home win for Daniels Reserves as they beat unbeaten leaders Long Sutton Athletic 2-1 to go top thanks to goals from Joey Buckingham and Jamie Milner. Stamford Lions lost 5-1 to visitors Bourne Town Reserves. Jack Szymanski with their goal.
Moving to cup action, starting with the Leicestershire and Rutland Senior Cup where Cottesmore beat Uppingham Town 1-0. Steve Jucikas on 30 minutes scoring for the fourth game in a row. In the Intermediate Cup, Ketton Sports beat FC Coalville 2015 away 5-3 thanks to a hat-trick from Nathan Ball and one each from Seb Mills and Sol Snelling.
In the Peterborough and District League Senior Cup Quarter Final, Oakham United won at Whaplode Drove Rovers 3-0. Charlie Willis double and Matt Pope scoring.
Bourne Town lost 3-1 to visitors Shepshed Dynamo in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division that was after Sam Bayly had given them the lead.
United Counties Premier Division North saw Blackstones make it back-to-back wins with a 3-2 victory at Wisbech Town. Will Bestwick, Kieran Duffy-Weekes and Nathan Rudman penalty, whilst Deeping Rangers beat Skegness Town away 2-1 with Lewis Arber and Ryan Cook the scorers.
Women’s Football
Stamford AFC lost 1-0 at home to Chesterfield in the East Midlands Women’s Regional Football League Premier Division, the winner coming in the 89th minute.
Top of the table Oakham United won 3-1 away at 3rd placed East Goscote United in the Leicestershire Women’s League Division 1. The league’s top scorer Zina Cheikh taking her tally to twelve with a brace and Vicky Smith with the other.
Cambridgeshire Women’s League Division 1 saw Deeping Rangers lose 4-1 away at Leverington Sports.

Rugby
Leicester Tigers staged an impressive second-half fight back at Welford Road after trailing 16-0 at the break against Harlequins to run out winners 29-19 and record their first win in the Gallagher English Premiership. Second half substitute Will Hand will two tries and a try a piece for Ollie Hassell-Collins and Jack Van Poortvliet. Three conversions and a penalty for Billy Searle.
Northampton Saints got their first win in the Gallagher English Premiership at Gloucester 37-35 despite a second-half fight back by their hosts. Tries for George Hendy, Tom Litchfield, Archie McParland and Tom Pearson with Anthony Belleau scoring four conversions and three penalties.
Stamford went down at home in a close fought game to Northampton Old Scouts 23-26 in Regional 2 Midlands East. Both sides scoring three tries with the visitors clinching the win with a late penalty.
Counties 1 Midlands East (North) fixture between Bourne and Lincoln was abandoned.
To Counties 3 Midlands East Division (South North) and Oakham returned to winning ways with a convincing 38-12 home win over Aylestone Athletic. Angus Boyle with two tries with tries also for Oliver Crellin, his first senior try, Nathan Gardener, Ratu Wara and Luke Wilkinson. Captain Lewis Crellin with four conversions.
Stamford College Old Boys game at Vipers 2nds was postponed due to a lack of a referee.
Women’s Rugby
On a history making day for Stamford Women’s rugby, which saw both women teams playing at home, Stamford Women 1sts posted their highest ever score and win by 108 points to nil over Ipswich in the Women's NC 1 East. The result taking them to the top of the league.
In total, 17 tries were scored, which included five for Holly Crewe on debut and hat-tricks for Captain Sammy Pocock and Jorja Matchwick.
To complete a memorable day, Stamford Storm beat Daventry 15-7 with Marisela Saulailai on her debut going over for three tries.
