Football

Leicester City in the Championship drew 1-1 with Portsmouth.

Ten-man Peterborough United beat fellow strugglers in League One, Burton Albion 1-0. Archie Collins with the goal.

The Daniels despite Jordon Cooke despite giving them an early lost 2-1 at home to Stratford Town in the Southern League Premier Central.

In the Premier Division of the Peterborough and District League, Uppingham Town went down 2-1 at home to leaders Crowland Town.

Oakham United lot 2-0 at home to Warboys Town.

Stamford Bells lost 1-0 away won at bottom side Whaplode Drove Rovers with Deeping Rangers Reserves winning 4-1 at home to Sawtry.

To Division 1, Stamford Lions lost 2-0 away at ICA Sports.

Challenge Cup 2nd Round saw the Daniel Reserves go out 6-2 at YDP, whilst Ketton Sports Premiair defeated visitors Sutton Bridge United 3-0. Josh Gear, Kai Haggett-King and Jacob Hoffman with the goals.

Bourne Town drew 3-3 with visitors Long Eaton United in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division. Robbie Ellis with a double and Connor Furey.

United Counties Premier Division North saw Blackstones lose 3-1 away at Skegness Town. Will Bestwick with the goal with Deeping Rangers going down 2-1 at Hucknall Town.

Cottesmore beat Friar Lane & Epworth away 4-3 in the Everards Brewery Premier Division. 

Women’s Football

In the Lincolnshire FA County Cup 1st Round, Stamford AFC are safely through to 2nd Round as they beat Ruston Sports 5-0 away with all the goals coming in an excellent second half display. Two each for Paige Jones and Emma Pollard with Nicole Hendrick scoring the other.

They are joined by Deeping Rangers who won 8-4 at home to South Lincolnshire Swifts thanks to a hat-trick from Tia Vacca, two each from Yas Green and Jemma Hill and Ali Stokoe also on target. Deeping Rangers Reserves though are out, losing 4-0 to Boston Town.

Oakham United’s game against Harborough Town Juniors was postponed in the Leicestershire Women’s League Division 1.

Rugby

Leicester Tigers won at home against league leaders Bath 22-20 in the Gallagher English Premiership.

Stamford beat Oadby Wyggestonians 48-8 in Regional 2 Midlands East.

Bourne beat unbeaten leaders Loughborough University 2nds 34-7 in the Counties 1 Midlands East (North).

Moving to Counties 3 Midlands East Division (South North) and Oakham lost 56-26 to Syston 3rds.

Stamford College Old Boys won by 57 points to 7 away at leaders Sileby Town.

Deepings lost 74-14 to Cantabrigian 2nds in the Eastern Counties Greene King Division One .

Women’s Rugby

Top of the table game in Women's NC 1 East saw Stamford Women lose their unbeaten record and as they were beaten away by Bedford Blues 50-25 who remain unbeaten and replace them at the top whilst they drop down to fourth.
