Leicester City’s three game unbeaten run has come abrupt end losing 4-1 away to Queens Park Rangers. Silko-Amari Thomas with the consolation goal.

Peterborough United are up to 16th in League One after winning 1-0 at bottom side Port Vale. Harry Leonard scoring on 83 minutes.

In the Premier Division of the Peterborough and District League, Uppingham Town picked up their first league win since October as they beat visitors Whaplode Drove Rovers 5-0 thanks to a Fin Seggie brace and a goal each for Ollie Lewin, Henry Moxley and Martin Turiccki. Deeping Rangers Reserves secured a big win, 4-3 at league leaders Netherton United to move them up to 6th.

Now to Division One and leaders Daniels Reserves won for the first time in four games, 2-0 at home against ICA Sports with goals coming from Joey Buckingham penalty and Adam Steels.

Ketton Sports Premiair lost away at Long Sutton Athletic 2-0, whilst Stamford Lions made it three wins on the bounce, 3-2 at home against bottom side Crowland Town Reserves. Matt Betts with two and Danny Sheehan on target.

Bourne Town went down 2-1 at Coleshill Town in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division. This was after Sam Bayly had made it 1-1.

To the United Counties Premier Division North, Blackstones lost 4-0 at home to Wisbech Town, whilst Deeping Rangers shared the points at home with a 1-1 draw against Gresley Rovers, Will Barnes with their goal.

Cottesmore ended the year on a high and back-to-back wins beating Friar Lane & Epworth 5-0 at home in the Everards Brewery Premier Division. Two goals each for Josh Clark, the second game in a row for him he has scored two and Leon Kavanagh with Oli Troth the other.

The Daniels and Oakham United’s games were for both postponed.

Northampton Saints secured a 47 points to 21 win over Sale in the Gallagher English Premiership. The hosts scoring seven tries including two for George Hendy and six conversions from Fin Smith.

Stamford ended a memorable year as they picked up three points with 28 all draw at home to Daventry in Regional 2 Midlands East.

Bourne could not make five wins in a row in Counties 1 Midlands East (North) as they went down by 13 points to 10 at 2nd placed Market Rasen and Louth.

Local derby in Counties 3 Midlands East Division (South North) saw Oakham come out the winners at Stamford College Old Boys by 11 points to 8 in a game which saw six yellow cards, three a piece.

Oakham got off to the best possible start with a Dan Cousens try on just two minutes. The lead extended on 31 minutes through a Lewis Crellin penalty to go in 8-0 at the break. Stamford College Old Boys through a Liam Greenslade penalty on 55 minutes pulled it back to 8-3 and then levelled on 66 minutes thanks to a try from Callum Fraser. Oakham within two minutes were back in front with the last points of the game, a penalty kick by Lewis Crellin.
