Peterborough United won at Wycombe Wanderers 2-0 thanks to goals from Hayes and Lisbie.
What a week for the Daniels as they made it back-to-back home wins and three wins in a row as they beat play-off contenders Needham Market 1-0. The winner coming on 87 minutes through Leon Lobjoit, his third goal in two games.
In the Peterborough and District League Premier Division, Uppingham Town beat FC Peterborough Reserves away 2-1, a Sam Blackwell brace. Deeping Rangers Reserves went down 5-0 to visitors and leaders Netherton United.
To Division One and leaders Daniel Reserves despite leading 2-0 through a Cameron Broomfield double lost 4-2 at YDP. Ketton Sports Premiair suffered a 5-0 home defeat to Bourne Town Reserves. Stamford Lions fixture was postponed.
In a tight Senior Cup semi-final contest at Oakham United, the hosts beat Stamford Bells 1-0. Fin Rawlings scoring on 40 minutes after cutting into the penalty area and firing home. The Bells nearly equalised on 83 minutes when a Josh Dowell lob hit the bar. Oakham United will now meet Netherton United in the final.
Bourne Town thanks to Robbie Ellis beat visitors St Neots Town, 1-0 in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division.
In the United Counties Premier Division North, Blackstones suffered a 2-1 defeat at Clay Cross Town despite Shaun Archer putting them ahead. Deeping Rangers lost 2-0 at Belper United.
Cottesmore extended their winning run to three, 5-1 at FC Khalsa in the Everards Brewery Premier Division thanks to two goals from Leon Kavanagh and one a piece from Steven Jucikas, Kadeem Price and Oli Troth.
Women’s Football
A mixed afternoon for our local Women’s football sides.
Starting with Stamford AFC in the East Midlands Women’s Regional Football League Premier Division. Despite a spirited effort against a strong Loughborough Foxes Vixens side, the hosts won 4-2. The Stamford goals coming from Weronika Kruszyna and Zaiga Lacite.
Oakham United drew for the first time this season in the Leicestershire Women’s League Division 1, 2-2 away at Birstall United thanks to goals from Zina Cheikh and Emma Couzens.
Deeping Rangers turned the form book upside down as visitors top of the table Eaton Socon were beaten only for the second time in the Cambridgeshire Women’s League Division 1, 5-3, which included two from Tiana Tickner.

Rugby
Northampton Saints remain top of the English Gallagher Premiership beating Sale away by 41 points to 29. The Saints going over for seven tries from Coles, Freeman, Hutchinson, Kemeny, Pollock, Smith and Todaro.
Leicester Tigers had a comfortable 34-7 win at Harlequins, which included five different try scorers and three conversions and a penalty for Billy Searle. The result sees them up to 4th.
Stamford are through to the next round of the NLD Men's Senior Cup after a successful trip to Ilkeston with a 27 point to 17 victory.
An impressive win at home by Bourne that saw them beat University of Nottingham 24-22 to knock them of the top of Counties 1 Midlands East (North).
In Counties 3 Midlands East Division (South North), Oakham extended their winning run to three as they beat visitors Birstall by 29 points to 10. Two tries each for Henry Bird and Cee Wara and one for Brian Takala. Lewis Crellin adding two conversions.
Stamford College Old Boys meanwhile completed the league double at struggling South Leicester, 17-12. Harry Bell, Kane Rowe and Jimmy Twose with tries and a conversion from Liam Greenslade.
