The Daniels completed an important league double at fellow relegation threatened AFC Sudbury with a 3-1 win. Leon Lobjoit as in their previous meeting scoring two and Kai Tonge the other.
The Peterborough and District League Premier Division saw Uppingham Town in a tight fought game at Tods Piece beat second placed Warboys Town 1-0. Only their third league defeat since September. The winner coming on 88 minutes. A Max Walker long throw caused a scramble in the opposition penalty area with player manager Jimmy Howe acting quickest to fire home just six minutes after coming on.
Oakham United won 3-2 at Sawtry with Joe Hatherill, Matt Pope and Eddie Sakovich on target, with Deeping Rangers also winning, 3-1 at Ramsey Town.
Stamford Bells drew 0-0 at home to Eye Rangers.
Moving to Division One and Daniel Reserves had an 8-0 victory over Wisbech Town Reserves. Lennox McGuigan, Adam Steels and Jake Walton all scoring two and a one a piece for Aaron Altham and Dan Kettleborough. Ketton Sports Premiair won 2-0 at home against Park Farm Pumas. Nathan Bedford with both goals.
Bourne Town after being 2-0 up at Coventry Spinx with goals from Lewis Darlington and Robbie Ellis had to settle for a 2-2 draw in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division.
Blackstones lost 1-0 to visitors Belper United and Deeping Rangers went down 4-2 at Clay Cross Town in the United Counties Premier Division North
Cottesmore are through to semi-finals of the Everards Tiger League Cup following their 1-0 home win over Whetstone Athletic. Leon Kavanagh scoring in the first half.
Women’s Football
Stamford AFC completed a league double, 4-1 over Wellingborough Town and made it three league wins in a row. Emma Pollard with a hat-trick and Katie Gee.
Oakham United continued their defence of the Leicestershire Women’s League Cup with a 5-2 win at Harborough Town to reach the semi-finals where they will play Kirby Muxloe away on the 22nd March. Zina Cheikh and Emma Couzens both with two and Alicia King the other.
Deeping Rangers fixture was postponed.

Rugby
Stamford went down 31-5 in a tough game against visitors and league leaders of Regional 2 Midlands East, Market Harborough.
Bourne completed a Counties 1 Midlands East (North) double at bottom side Ashby by 35 points to 12.
To Counties 3 Midlands East Division (South North) and Stamford College Old Boys suffered a 00077 points to 7 defeat away to Market Harborough 2nds. The Old Boys points coming from a Neil Bryant try and conversion by Callum Fraser.
Oakham’s fixture was a Home Walk Over for them against Rugby Welsh.
Leicester Tigers will host next Sunday the final of English Premiership Rugby Cup against last year’s runners up Exeter Chiefs after beating holders Bath at Welford Road by 46 points to 21.
Exeter Chiefs had earlier beaten Northampton Saints 31-14 at Sandy Park.
Women’s Rugby
Stamford Women 1sts made it three wins in a row in all competitions and league double over West Norfolk Warriors in the Women's NC 1 East league by 34 points to 27, which sees them up to second.
