More car parking in Stamford should be available from the summer.
South Kesteven District Council's contractors have started to convert an area of waste ground into an extension of the cattle market car park, with electric vehicle charging and accessible spaces, an expansion of nearly 150. Portfolio holder for Property, Councillor Richard Cleaver, was there to meet them.
"Yes, it was a great pleasure to meet the contractors on site, and they're raring to go. So we hope to be finished by the end of May, and then you'll have an extra 146, I think it is, parking spaces in Stamford, and a new bus stop to serve the railway station. So, it's all good news."
