The beginning of a 14,000 tree planting programme is underway at Burghley.
The forestry team, along with volunteers, are set to plant just over 8,000 this year and 6,000 next thanks to a grant by Forestry England. Planting is to replace and improve a historic screen around the eastern side of the parkland, including an area near the adventure playground.
