Claire joined as a Saturday girl in 1999 when the store was called Forbouys, and stayed through Martins, McColls and now Morrisons Daily.
A shop worker in Oakham was surprised by the Mayor and the High Sheriff this morning in the store where she works as she marks 25 years service. Since Claire started as a Saturday girl in 1999 at Forbouys, the shop has undergone three name changes, and a change of ownership to Morrisons Daily. Her work anniversary is actually on Sunday – Claire’s been assistant manager of the main shop, and now mainly helps run the post office counter there. We went along as she was surprised at work on Friday morning:
