Appeal for witnesses to hit-and-run in Stamford on Monday evening

 Police in Stamford are asking for doorbell, dashcam or any mobile footage, as well as witnesses to a hit-and-run between a car and a motorbike in Stamford on Monday evening,

A silver Peugeot 308 and a silver motorbike collided at the junction of Rutland Terrace and Tinwell Road at about half past seven on Monday evening. The driver of the Peugeot failed to stop at the scene.

Both the driver and a passenger from the Peugeot got out of the vehicle on Water Furlong. The two men then ran from the car. One of the men was located and arrested. The rider of the motorcycle was injured and taken to hospital. A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
