There's still time to donate to the For Rutland's bottle tombola.
Volunteers began sorting the bottles on Tuesday and already over 1,000 have been counted with several 100 more expected in time for this Sunday's Rutland County Show. All money raised helps pay for the non medical advisors and Citizens Advice Rutland. Volunteer Ian Balmer says it's a great Rutland effort as always.
‘So far, and we're only on day two of receiving collections, we're well over 1,000, so I wouldn't be surprised if we get 1,300-1,400 bottles donated from villages all around Rutland, which is stunning because that converts to a lot of money when people pay £2 a ticket or three for £5 when they come to the tombola’.
