Rutland County Councillors unanimously backed the proposed budget for next year,
which includes a freeze on general council tax. a 2% increase to help the rise in spend on adult and children's social care and a large capital spend for the coming year. The council expects it to be their penultimate budget before local government reorganisation, which could see Rutland join with at least part of Leicestershire under current plans put forward.
