Stamford's two county councillors say a new waste and recycling centre for Stamford and Deeping is needed more than ever, and the county's environment committee has failed to acknowledge this.
A two hundred and forty-page report, they say, overlooks the large housing targets in both communities, and that the site in Bourne is too far away and often too busy. The report is being considered by Lincolnshire County Council's committee today. Councillors Richard Cleaver and Kelham Cook are jointly calling for a proper plan to deliver the facilities residents need.
