The Christmas Cracker raffle is a popular annual event that raises money to fund the Care Trust's no-charge, volunteer-led services.
Bob Burdett, volunteer and organiser of the raffle, tells us more:
"It can also be fun and entertaining in the days leading up to Christmas. Through the generosity of local businesses, we are able to offer 25 excellent prizes with one winning ticket drawn every day from 1st December to Christmas Day. Each £1 ticket has 25 chances of winning a prize with each day’s winner being advised that day of their success. A video of each draw will be uploaded to our Facebook page and, as one local company that has bought tickets for its employees was keen to tell me: “The staff get very involved and excited each day as the numbers are drawn”.
So, what are these excellent prizes? We start on 1st December with a Waitrose Christmas hamper and end on Christmas Day with a ladies’ sterling silver neck chain with silver heart pendant courtesy of Dawson of Stamford. In between you can win a wide range of attractive prizes with all 25 prizes listed on our website, https://evergreencare.org.uk. Just click on the 'Find out more' button. You can also see the full range of our current services that are greatly valued by so many in our local community. The Christmas Cracker is a major event in our fund-raising calendar, and we are keen to make this year’s event a ‘cracking’ success so that we can further expand those services we currently offer."
With the first of 25 daily draws to be held on 1st December those wishing to buy tickets should do so by 30th November. As well as buying tickets online, you may do so by contacting Evergreen Reception at Shyp House, or from Sowden Wallis Estate Agents in Star Lane, Stamford who have kindly offered their services.
