Rutland and Stamford Sound marks five years on air today with the birthday bus tour of the towns and surrounds.
A community choir at Uppingham Parish Church and a visit to Birch Tree Cafe in Easton on the Hill and a community convoy through Burghley Park at lunchtime led by the Bland's bus. It all starts off in Oakham Marketplace at 9:30am with Rutland Morris performing with the Lord Lieutenant and High Sheriff in attendance. Rutland and Stamford MP sends her congratulations to us for a very happy 5th birthday to Rutland and Stamford Sound.
‘I'm so delighted for the whole team but also it's a chance to say thank you for everything you do for our communities. We are so fortunate to have a local radio station focused solely on our communities and particularly during the pandemic we felt that so strongly. So thank you for giving a voice to our communities, to supporting our communities, to keeping us informed. And here's to celebrating in another five years time as you go from strength to strength’
