Rutland Police was called to reports of hare coursing yesterday in the county and were on the scene in minutes.
It's believed to have taken place between Empingham and Exton, although those suspected of the offence made off over surrounding fields as the forces marked vehicles arrived. They did pick up a dog which was believed to be involved. Officers praised the prompt response of land owners as police were responding to 999 calls.
