SKDC Local Plan consultation has opened and Whissendine and Wing have voted on their Neighbourhood Plans.
There's a chance to have your say on South Kesteven's Local Plan in an eight week consultation that's just opened. The original plan was adopted in 2020 and now has an update on where employment land and Gypsy and Traveller accommodation should go. The review takes the plan forward to 2041.
Meanwhile, villagers in Whissendine voted almost unanimously to adopt their Neighbourhood Plan yesterday, with a 35 percent turnout and 350 votes in favour and 4 against. Wing achieved a 46 percent turnout and a majority in favour of adoption at 98 votes to 22 against.
