A man from North Luffenham has been charged with rape and attempted rape in Stamford.
The incident involving two girls under 16 is believed to have taken place in a wooded area close to the Meadows last Thursday evening. 38 year old Jacques Nel of Chapel Lane, North Luffenham has been remanded in custody and will appear in court at a later date. Stamford Police is encouraging anyone who believes they have been the victim of rape or sexual assault, to report it as soon as possible. Even if you're not 100% sure, so that officers can make sure that you're safe.
