Oakham’s last bank has closed its doors for good, leaving the High Street without a cash machine.
Cash Access UK, who operate the new banking hub in the old Lloyds building, are hoping to install an ATM but haven't been able to as yet. Ironically, HSBC and its Midland bank days.Installed the first cash machine in Oakham back in 1984. Originally the bank said it would stay open until services at the banking hub were fully up and running. The hub has been open now for three months, but so far still without a cash machine.
