Rutland County Council is making it easier to pay for parking, particularly for drivers who use pay parking in other counties, after joining a government scheme which allows different apps to be used using the national parking platform.
Other methods remain and the tariffs aren't increasing although PayPoint is no longer available. Locals say they more often use a credit or debit card as poor mobile signals can make apps difficult to operate.
