Could your local help to protect Rutland's ceremonial status in local government reorganization?
Petitions are going into pubs thanks to the Rutland Blogger who's working with the county's MP to collect as many physical signatures as possible to help save Rutland. Charlie Pallett says she's helped the next generation and those further afield realize what a unique area we live in.
"When I first started the blog eight years ago now I think people were a bit like "Why on earth are you blogging about your tiny little county?" and now every day I get messages from people that have moved to the area because they've seen my blog, which would just baffle me, or people that have visited the area because they've seen something that I've posted and I just think that now people are realizing how amazing it is. I think a lot of people my age want to come back here after they've scratched their London itch and all of that kind of thing and they realize how important it is."
