Police believe a JCB used at Booze 4 Less on Stirling Road was from a farm in Uffington, and that at least two people made off in a white Nissan Navara 4x4 pickup. They're looking for witnesses. Officers believe it took place at 1.53am and that tens of thousands of pounds was taken.
**THURSDAY 16th NOVEMBER UPDATE**
Police in Stamford are widening their appeal for help after a ram raid at Booze 4 Less on Stirling Road saw tens of thousands of pounds stolen, and a cash machine. The incident happened just before 2am Tuesday morning. Officers are now asking anyone who saw anything suspicious from last Friday through to the break in to get in touch, from CCTV to seeing people or vehicles spending an usually long length of time in the area.
**TUESDAY 14th NOVEMBER**
Police remain outside the shops on Stirling Road in Stamford, after Booze 4 Less was ram raided during the early hours of this morning. Officers believe a yellow JCB ripped out the cash machine containing, they’re also looking for at least two people who it’s believed made off in a white Nissan Navara 4 x 4 pickup. Anyone who was driving in the Stirling Road, Sutherland Way, Empingham Road or Casterton Road area is being asked to share dashcam footage with officers, if they have it. The JCB was left at the scene, and it’s believed it was stolen from a farm in Uffington. Police believe the theft of tens of thousands of pounds took place at 1.53 this morning, and anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between 1.45 and 2.15 is urged to contact them.
